It's no substitute for a 911 but a much better DD.

 

Sold in 2016 - but the favorite of all the M3’s I’ve owned. Strange since it was a boat with a v8 and no clutch pedal. It just worked.

I have had my 08 Jerez black on black 6MT E90M3 for 10 years now and driven it about 80k of its 110k miles. At the time I bought it, I really wanted a used 996 Turbo but the only ones I could afford were out of warranty and the M3 was CPO. Honestly, I often wonder whether I made the right choice. I like the E90M3 and have modded it a bit, but still want a 911 turbo and will probably buy a 991.2 Turbo in the next few years. I might supercharge the E90M3 in the meantime. For the past 35 years, I have been trying to make the cars I can afford into Porsches but it never really turns out the way I want.
