Lotus Evora GT

I'm in the same boat as OP. I've given up on finding a used GT3. I haven't tested the Evora yet (weather) but have two upfront concerns. New they run about 118-130k, that's quite a lot for whats really a 60-70k car. The acceleration of new prices under the new ownership is probably a function of the funny money economy but I wouldn't touch it new outside the 90s. I think most areas mine included have a sole Lotus dealer. If you have difficulties with the dealership, you're ****ed and they know it. Not a big fan of that kind of relationship asymmetry with that tribe.
BTW, the list MSRP is only $96K, so not $130k unless you fully load it out with $10k Carbon pack, $10k titanium exhaust, $8k bespoke paint (I opted for that), stereo upgrade, bespoke stitching and bespoke painted interior bits, etc... A lot of what was "option$" in the Evora 400 are now standard in the GT, plus lighter weight, better tire, more aero, better looks, nicer interior.
They have a brand new 2018 Evora 400 for $89 asking (MSRP of $120k), so you should be able to negotiate that down to $86-87 I would think

I can try...I am 6'1" and definitely will fit fine with a helmet...much more headroom than the 458 or V12VS (both have multi-way electric seats with motors) and possible the same as my RS and more than my GT4
There is probably 3-4 inches headroom (these are manual seats, so NO MOTORS under the seats)...I am longer torso, 32 inseam.
This is not an Elise or Exige, so taller/bigger Americans should fit just fine (DEFINITELY not the case with the Húracan I tested either)

Just picked up this yesterday and could NOT be happier !!
I too was on the GT4 Vs Evora GT ... as soon as I saw and heard this car it was a no-brainer for me
And those that speak of depreciation on these ... seriously ? In Canada this was the only used (1500 miles) Evora GT in the country, simple economics ... supply & demand
Cheers

Looks like the C8 design team and Evora team shared ideas.

Been a Porsche guy forever.. 5 911's and a Cayenne S. I had an 06' Exige with massive upgrades and missed the Lotus after I sold it for a 14' 4S. I jumped around to a couple GT cars, Maserati GranTurismo Sport for a year then a Quadrifoglio Alfa which is an incredible car.
The Lotus for me gave me the raw manual trans driving feeling I missed most with a predictable chassis stripped down interior and aggressive styling. Ill admit I like being the only guy in town with one as well. Seats are carbon backed recaro's which are great even on long trips.
No regrets here, Car is incredible on the track as well. Only issue is Naples Lotus refusing to service my car because I didn't buy from them for a higher price and loss on my car. So now Lotus NA pays to have my car shipped to another dealer 2 hours away when I need service.
Long story but buyer beware with that place.
Military Grey, Full carbon pack.

Love that color! What is it called? Kinda curious which paint bracket it is in but I forget them all now. I know mine was a step below the highest tear and thus was more than a few grand.
WTF Naples Lotus?

They are more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I wish I had a bigger garage. Love the GT4 too but the Lotus is like a go-kart.
Thumbs up on the Giulia Quadrifoglio, too. The most enjoyable car I've ever owned including all my Pcars, AMGs, BMW M, Ferraris, you name it.

Similar to Shawn’s comments above, I have owned several 911’s (still have my 91 C2 which is my favorite). Had an 05 Elise and an 11 Evora and now own a 17 Evora 400 (manual). They are so much fun to drive. I don’t understand why they didn’t sell more. Mine is one of two 400’s in this color.
