I was there. It's very cool/ this is the Ferrari version of the 918. But will cost 10-20% less at msrp. The gray car is the Asseto Fiorano package. Carbon aero, lighter wheels and...a helmet paint matched to your car!

Torque vectoring in a ferrari. The world is now a new one- this will be a serial production hypercar. I'll probably get a blue metallic one.

A lot to like other than the taillights, which I think look too much like a Vette. Wonder what the actual real-world will come it at?

It is the Ferrari version of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, they belong in the same forum, not the 991 GT3 forum

Common features:

- 4,000+ lbs on the scales
- V8
- Twin Turbo
- AWD
- 8-speed DCT/PDK
- Active Aero
- Three electric motors
- Questionable Style that won't age well

IMHO, in terms of the look,
it looks like a modified F8, which looks like a modified 488, which looks like a modified 458.

I agree - the lines follow the 488/458 very closely. it looks to me like a cleaned up (simpler) version of one of those. just a bit lower and sleeker.

overall, it just doesn't have the visual presence of the LaFerrari. I like it, but I'm not drooling over it the way I do the LeFerrari and the 918.

the 997 and the 991 look even more similar that the 458/488. the 550/575 were twins. the panamera argument...come on guys.

who cares. in person it looked better in metallic vs rosso corsa or fly yellow. the entire front trunk bay is gloss CF like 918.

1000hp and faster than LaF.

can anyone in here get a LaF for 759,000? please point me that direction. i'll gladly buy one. or two

this will be a super fun car drive. I was there, I saw it, heard it...it's great. This is 20% less than the 918/003/Senna/P1 Msrp.

personally I think it looks MOST like the Batista

CJ...did they say how many they plan to make? I put my name on the list but with Ferrari that could mean many things.

Is $759K the quoted base US MSRP?

I must say one *disadvantage* of being there is being on the receiving end of a lot of marketing spin. And nobody does it better than Ferrari
Happened to me (and my checkbook!) many times!!

Looking at this car a little dispassionately...
It is a turbo-hybrid with an architecture similar to a 918 but 6 years later, and with a few caveats. First, not sure how good it will actually sound given the turbos, likely particulate filter, and latest EU noise legislation. Second, I have not seen any detail on battery cooling which is vital to reliability and continuous performance. Third, this baby is big boned at 1800+ kg fully fueled. Fourth, electric performance is not that impressive - 220 PS, and 130 km/h top speed. And last but not least - brake by wire. That made the Alfa Guilia QV a mess, I hope this car is better.

On the plus side, this Ferrari looks a lot more interesting if you look at it as a bargain 918 or a bargain Mercedes Project One. And it looks like a spaceship. Spectacular in the spirit of a Lamborghini Centenario.

Good luck to Ferrari!
The world needs spectacular cars like these.

You didn't touch on the most important part, which is when you're getting a Ferrari store? I need to change up my car buying...

you will get one, not limited, and wall st. is demanding growth. The last quarterly call talked about new market penetration and what they expect growth to be, and only one way to do that. That said, you can also walk in and get a new F8/812/Port as a brand new customer.

I would expect to lose 100-200+ on this car, and would only consider it if you were guaranteed a shot at the Icona that is coming in Q1/Q2 2020, albeit you're probably looking at 2MM price there. I think we are transitioning to a period of planned obsolescence with some of these cars, as the battery replacement cost alone is staggering. Maybe if you could just take the battery out, save 350lbs and run that way.

Plenty of other cars on the horizon that are still ICE only. There are still Jesko spots available too if you want!

It will be interesting to see when will Porsche release its hybrid 911 or midengine hybrid.

You sound like you got bit by the prancing horse CJ. Selling you a new franchise would probably fit nicely in Ferrari's growth plan. I wonder how happy Ferrari dealers are compared with their Porsche counterparts. I'm thinking about ordering an F8. Just wondering how these beautiful machines will hold up on the track.
