Not sure what designer wrote this memo but nearly everyone got it. Put a black strip at the last pillar. I don't like it and this will date all cars to this era, not sure why everyone is doing it.

For the most part, I agree, it looks horrid. There are a select, and I do mean select, few cars that it looks good on IMHO. It would be better if the pillar wasn't there at all and it was just glass, but I know that would be structurally impossible. I remember the first time I saw a car with the blacked out pillar and I just thought to myself, "what the hell?", well, I didn't think hell, but you get my point.
