Default New 1990 944 cabriolet owner

Hi everyone. Recently purchased my first Porsche, a 1990 944 S2 cabriolet and I am loving it. I am in the process of installing a VDO Continental radio and running into a few wiring issues due to previous after-market radio. One real mystery I have run into is this loose connector under the dash. I did find where it connects on the ignition module next to the steering column. I am afraid to plug it in not know what it does. Can anyone help. Here is a pic of the connector. Thanks for any help

Can't quite tell from that picture angle where under the dash you are. Suggest posing this question to the 944 & 944S forum, and possibly the 968 forum.

Enjoy your new car. They are great!
