Default Large Dog in a 911 Advice

Hello all - I’m taking possession of my first Porsche, a 991.2 C4S, in a couple of weeks. It has a beautiful graphite blue leather interior and I was wondering if anyone had advice on seat covers, etc. to protect it.

I have a very large German Shepherd and in most of the cars I’ve owned (BMW, Acura, Mercedes, etc.) the leather was resilient and I never had any issues but I’m coming from an Audi TTRS (Mk2) and that leather scratched up like nothing I’ve ever seen.

Is the leather in a 911 generally pretty resilient?

Do those of you with big dogs put the seats down, cover them, etc?

I know it may be frowned upon to even suggest but I’d love to maximize the time I have with my buddy and make memories in the car. Any advice is much appreciated!

Side question: are there weather mats in the matching blue color anywhere? I saw them for the 992 but not 991 on Porsche.

Thanks!

I've always purchased seat covers from Weathertech, not sure they make anything specifically for 911s. Just bought a rear seat cover for my Wife's Cayenne...quality seems great.
