Hello from Arizona,
Just got my first Porsche, a carrara white metallic 992 911 Turbo S. Very happy so far. Close to how I’d have specced myself, though I’d have done carbon roof and or midnight blue. A good deal on a CPO with a year or two factory warranty still on it was worth it though.
Coming from a 870hp AMG C63S, so a big upgrade. I will miss the soul evoking sound however, so first thing I’m doing is probably a JCR titanium valved exhaust. Debating on the inconel shielded cat deletes or hjs 200 cell cats though. The handling and traction are great so far though, i don’t miss spinning in almost every gear.
Id like to eventually do M-engineering tune, IPD plenum, cfs or Wagner intercooler + piping, maybe do88 turbo inlet and intakes. I doubt I’ll need to go so far as adding Pure1000s like i did on the AMG, but time will tell.
Exterior i love the look of Techart diffuser. Possibly the skirts, but undecided on front bumper or lips. I’d love some HRE hx101 carbon wheels with dark bronze, matte black, or gunmetal centers, but i may have to make do with something not quite so extravagant. I’d be too afraid to ever parallel park it again, haha. Also, toying with the idea of carbon hood and roof. Maybe paint/wrap the sides of it and leave visible carbon racing stripes. We will see how the car evolves over time.
I have a full 4-5 day course package at Porsche experience LA planned soon as well to get really familiar with the model and other Porsches. I imagine that will be a great help and should get me more comfortable with both the cars’ and my driving abilities. Afterwards, hopefully I’ll be comfortable enough to be able to take it to one of the tracks around Phoenix.
haha i doubt anyone actually ever reads these new member posts, outside of maybe an admin…..but if you are, I’m sure you can tell I’m excited and have plans!!!
