Welcome flat6! I made two posts in the New members area and got no responses, so I saw you also got none so giving you a shout out from the welcoming state of South Carolina! I owned a 997 for about 5 years and liked it a lot but missed my Boxster, so traded it for a 981.

Hi Jim986,
Thanks for the reply!

That's interesting!, why did you miss so much your Boxster?

I currently have both, my 987 and 997, both cars are nice and they do drive differently. I think the Boxster is lighter and better balanced than the 911.

Best,

I missed being able to drop the top. In South Carolina we often get nice top down weather in the winter. Also liked the mid-engine feel of the Boxster. I still remember my first drive in my 997, I really felt that flat six hanging out the rear. I got used to it but prefer the neutral feel of the Boxster.
