Following ownership of my E46 M3 and R35 GTR, I bought a 981 GT4 which I really enjoyed and tuned using Soul Performance/Softronic:

I registered early for the GT4RS and am super excited to have taken ownership
I was a bit worried about too much cabin noise but certainly with PSE off, the sound driving motorways is fine

when you open the throttle, even up to 6,000rpm the sound is EPIC
I use motorcycle custom ear-plugs on long / aggressive drives
the balance of the mid-engine platform is soooo entertaining, for me much more fun than a GT3(RS)
