New to the forum. Hawkiii here. I have a 1973 914 1.7 I am currently working on. I am on my second Boxster S. My first was a 2002 986. Great little car until the right rear tire blew. Mr Toad’s Wild ride and 8 days in the ICU. Currently in a 2013 Boxster S w/PDK. Love the features in the 981. Hope to keep learning about these amazing cars.

 

Welcome. Have a 2013 Boxster S PDK with added third radiator, adjustable LCAs, on 18s with Hankook RS4s for the track. Cayman is better(safer) for the track, but feel the added risk with a Boxster in HPDE is minimal. I have a Hybrid HANS. Do you have Sport Chrono? IMO Sport+ transforms the PDK especially on the track. Lots of info on 981s in this and the Performance/HPDE forum. Door cards and delaminating headlights are two know issues. If you plan on tracking or aggressive driving, 911 coil pack heat shields are a good investment. Installing heat shields is PIA as a DIY, had my indy install.

 

Car is well equipped. PASM, Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Dynamic Light System, Porsche Torque Vectoring with Bose Surround Sound and a few others. Dark Blue Metallic with beige interior. Have not had the car on the track yet but I run the backroads with a friend of mine who has a 2015 McLaren 650S. We also run the coast from Stinson Beach to Stewart’s Point.
