Greetings! New to the forum and new to Porsches! I have recently purchased a 1984 928s and I'm in the process of doing a lot of work to it. I've always loved these cars having seen one when I was around 5 years old and commenting to my best friend "that's a really cool car". I have a lot of issues on this car as I'm pulling it back from the brink.
It almost went to the dogs as it had been sitting for a few years after the owner passed away and although it was looked after for most of its life, it had a rough time over the past 10 years or so being passed around by family members and left in the elements etc. All in all I'd give it a solid 6.5/10 as far as current condition and other than a horribly worn clutch and the AC not working it drives surprisingly well and everything else works, I've stopped rust that was creeping up in a few places and the car is now being looked after as it should. I bought the car in CT and had it shipped to CA where it now can recover in the sun and hopefully I can remove all the slightly rusted bits (it's really not bad over all).
Amazingly it passed the CA smog test first time without any issues which was a massive surprise to me!
Very glad to be a part of the Rennlist forums as I already have garnered so much help and knowledge from browsing the forums.
