Hello, from Rochachacha
Not a crisis, but more like a middle age decision with savings to start saying "I made it to my dreams." Well maybe this Covid business declaring 50 as Old and potentially dying kicked this can.
Anyways, been in VW's since 1985, and have had at one time 5 of them in my possession...but never a Porsche. Currently driving a '07 Rabbit and a '18 Tiguan Ltd and moved to Rochester from Ithaca, NY about 3yrs ago. Live next to The Little Speed Shop and Eksten Autoworks. Hyperdrive (Kodak Park) was filming a couple summers ago where I could hear the cars after 11pm everynight across Rt390.
Made the mistake of checking out BaT, then found Rennlist for sage forum advice.
Started with looking at the 993's and 996's, since anything in the 80's or brand new is out of my price range. I prefer the 993 over the 996 in as far as air-cooled and looks more traditional...but a 996 TT is kinda hot.
Anyways, glad to be here. Been in VW Vortex and Fastdubs of CNY since '07.
