Thread title has been revised to reflect the new date for this event, as can be seen the previous event was rained out.

The turnaround point will be lunch at a local cafe in Pomfret and depending on timing we may also stop at an ice cream shop on the way back.

Here are the details for the drive:

Date: Sunday September 16, 2012
Time: Starting Point at 10:00 AM
Starting Point: Starbucks, 1370 Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown, RI
Start Time: 10:30 AM
Lunch: www.thevanillabeancafe.com/
Route: The route will take us from North Kingstown, RI to Pomfret, CT where we will stop for lunch. From there we will loop back on another stretch of road back into North Kingstown, RI.
Rain Date: TBD (September)

Just a quick update for those of you following this thread, we will be sending out the route summary to those that are on the attendee list within the next day or two. I would recommend printing this and bringing it with you.

The route was driven a couple of weekends ago and all the roads still look great so we should be insured a pothole and construction free drive!

For anyone considering going, please try to let Dino or I know within the next few days. We want to make sure everyone has the driving instructions before hand to give adequate time to review and print them.

Hi Rich,

Congrats on the 911 ! I love the 3.2 Carreras. Afshin will add you to the "Maybe" list for the drive when he returns. I think he is away for a day or two.

You should also check out our cars & coffee post here in the new england section...and join us on a Sunday morning. Our next gathering is this Sunday 8/26. It would allow you to meet some of the other people going on the drive.
