Anyone in or near Norway, ME?
Is anyone in or near Norway, ME which is north of Portland, kind of near Auburn/Lewiston? Someone wants me to buy some vintage toys/items I need from them (off craigslist) and they actually said they are willing to drive to meet me but I am all the way down here in Rhode Island.
Even if I drove to Boston/Danvers area in MA or a little further north, I think it sounds a little shady/crazy (from the perspective of a Rhode Islander, that if you have to drive more than two hours to anywhere in RI it is too far). The lady seems nice and she has little kids, so it's not that weird...yet.
The trip for me would be 200 miles one way, so it would be a 200 mile trip if she met me half way. The 944 is really good on gas but gas is freaking expensive now. I don't think she is too keen on shipping them which I would actually prefer if the deal does go through. She also doesn't have the ability to use a paypal account, and the town sounds like it is a small one from what Wikipedia says.
Would anyone HONEST & RELIABLE be willing to go to buy them and pick them up and then ship them to me if I don't feel comfortable meeting up with these people? It's not a done deal at the moment, but it is at about a 50% chance it will happen.
I would obviously make some arrangement to get you the money I am spending beforehand. And obviously if you took my money and ran I would blast it all over the boards haha. I would appreciate if you have some references/feedback. Please let me know.
