The date has been set for a fun run to take place in central MA near and around the Quabbin Resevior on Saturday 4/9 as primary with 4/30 as a rain date. If any one on here cares to join, no matter what kind of Porsche you have, let me know!
I have a solid 8 confirmed 944's from 944online and a few from Pelican as well.
So as far as the route is concerned... this is a tough one.
I like the N. Adams idea but between me coming from the S. Shore and a bunch of CT making a long trek up I wanted to be fair and have a central location. This is what I came up with. We meet in Belchertown (burp, excuse me) at the Quabbin Visitors center and make a 80 mile loop of the reservoir with a slight detour through Wendell State Forest, east on Rt2 and back down the other side of Quabbin. Now I am not from this area and all I can see is what google street view is showing me, so if I am going totally wrong here let me know, but I think this looks like a safe bet.
I know this may not be the ideal "twisty mountain" drive but its a good central location and it gives everyone the chance to break off when they are ready to head home. We can stop for lunch along the way and even hit some detours depending on what kind of time we are making. I think there will be some "scenic views" for photo ops and just general breaks to shoot the breeze and check on the cars.
We should plan on meeting around 10 am, that will give everyone enough time to get there. I figure between stops and lunch we should be done by 2-ish and we can all get home in time for dinner.
Sound good?

Hello -
I live quite close to the area.
First, the roads inside the Quabbin Reservation are 25MPH. That is where the best photo ops are. It is very beautiful on a nice day.
Second, the State Police Training facility is in New Braintree on the eastern side.
Just a heads up.

It was a blast meeting all these guys, great times seeing us rolling as pack. I love seeing other great Porsche's and we had a great cruise around the res. and stopped for lunch at a burger joint and swapped stories. We only had one Rennlister, Neil, show up in his beautiful 993. There was supposed to be a handful of Pelican's too but we had about 6 people back out last minute. There were 7 of us total. Two 951's, one 993 and four 944 N/A's. The weather was perfect and everyone was really nice and down to earth. We all can't wait to do it again, so we might meet up before German Car Day at the Larz Anderson in June. I'll post a follow up on that. Here are a couple pics from our run. Enjoy!
