Is anyone knowledgeable on the particulars of MA Registration/Title law?
I've been looking to pick up a 944 for a while now, and I've found an '84 that I think is a good fit. The owner is a NH resident and has no title.
I'm very familiar with the standard Massachusetts attitude towards titles: if you don't have one, you're out of luck. However, I had thought that there were some regulations in place to allow the titling of cars of a certain age without a pre-existing title--I just can't seem to find out what those regulations are.
The page on title law on the MA RMV site is not particularly helpful (http://www.mass.gov/rmv/titles/index.htm), and I'd rather not trust some random anecdotal advice I find elsewhere online.
Has anyone from MA previously dealt with this situation?
