hey guys -

after months of scouring the forums, i finally picked up an '06 997 C2S a few weeks ago. I may have seen some of you driving around boston (or parking in my building - anybody own a black 993 turbo?).

anyway, I'm looking for recommendations on where to bring my car for work. I already did an inspection/service at EPE in natick (recommended by some folks here).

i'm now looking for good places, preferably in or relatively close to boston, for:

1.) detailing (i live in an apartment, so tough to wash my car myself)
2.) bodywork (thinking of spraying the front bumper and getting a clear bra installed) - a friend of a friend recommended wheel dynamix in natick - anybody know this place?
3.) v1 radar/laser installation (may get this done at EPE, not sure yet . . .)

I'm also a new 997 C2S owner (since July). I don't know of any detailers/body guys, but I can highly recommend an electronics expert. He's not necessarily convenient to you (Newton NH, just over the border), but he's done more than 1,000 911s in 20+ years. His card is handed out by Porsche dealers (2 that I know of) as the best after-market guy there is. Mine's a CPO, so when I asked if his work would negate my warranty I was told that never happens - they trust his results that much. He also has loaner cars (classy mid-80s Mercedes, all fully equipped), so you can leave yours for a day or two and still drive in style.

My car already had a Passport SRX w/laser blinders installed when I bought it, so I didn't need that. I had him add Bluetooth and sat radio, which work perfectly. He did say that for detection he only installs K40s now, and he had some valid reasons vs. V1 (which I forget now). You might want to at least give him a call.
