'12 911 Carerra S vs '17 911 C4S
Context:
I live in NYC and no kids - looking to park in BK.
'17 is loaded with a lot of options but with 48k miles and comes with aftermarket radar detector @ 99k
'12 has decent options - 42k miles @ 79.9k
If I'm being realistic it will only really be driven on weekends.
I just want to hear about others experiences and opinions on these two lovely cars!

You should really post this in the model-appropriate forums if you are just looking for feedback on 997 v 991. The New England section is a bit of a dead zone, and not even the appropriate forum for NYC.
Take a good look at the quality of the roads in your area before buying a sports car. Potholes, road work, etc. will knock out your fillings and make for an unpleasant driving experience if you are mostly staying "local". Otherwise, either will be a blast if your weekend drives include LRP, Palmer, NJMP, etc.
