Thank you for taking the time to answer! Yes the smog pump is intact, and passes emissions just not the visual. I heard that my color brown wasn’t available for California so may not be a California car just don’t know how to prove it.

yes i am familiar with smog equipment , but not with california laws.

I can tell you that the 78SC came with a cat and a smog pump that many remove. it pumps air into the exhaust manifold. is your intact ? i dont think it has an EGR per -se but i do know California engines were different. I think you would be better contacting an owner in California, I am in Canada.

i have a 1978 sc and California smog shops won’t pass it because it doesn’t have an egr valve but has cats. I was wondering if you were familiar with this situation?
