I would call Charles at Dundon Motorsports in gig harbor re exhausts etc - he’s a maestro in that department

He can easily talk you through the options and results - also has the ability to tune on site

Weather has been great - 3 soccer games and 2 dog walks go down a lot easier when it’s not raining

    Hi PJ,

Hope you are enjoying this fine weather holiday.

Looking to make some mods to my 996 GT3 and, since you have been so deep into both 996 & 997 GT3s, would appreciate your opinion.

My Gt3 has many mods but nothing with the engine except tubi mufflers...I like the sound. Thinking of raising the volume and trying cat bypass. Here no cats will pop the power a little and increase volume. Heard the no cat fabspeed x-pipe sounds great but other cheaper cross overs available such as dansk.

Shark works highly recommended Evom SW tune. Evom also recommends IPD with 82mm throttle body.

Thoughts? I am not anticipating huge performance gains (coming from my modified 930 turbo days).

Know anyone with 996 gt3 cat bypass they want to part with?

LMK when you are inSeattle. Would like to see the 4.2 though I gather it does not hit the streets much.

    Thanks. Brian

Hey. 4.2 liter?!! Wow. Sharkwerks? Well over the 500 hp mark?

I get it. I am now with 4 kids (ranging 6 to 13) as a 2+2 family - the younger ones mine, the older ones are Lesley's.

I totally remember - good to hear from you
Yes still with 997.1 RS... although now it is a 4.2
It’s not getting much use - no track days this year... 3 kids keeping us busy

    Hi PJ,

Long time no contact. This is Brian Raine.

How goes life? Still running the 997 GT3? I still have my 996 GT3 with back seats (you may remember I participated in one of your track events a few years ago.

He is building 5 or 6 996 gt3 set ups right now that are pre sold but I think he has enough material for another set

Send him an email with "PJ gave me your email address" as the subject... If he sees my name in the subject line he will respond pretty quickly

I will tell him to be on the look out for an email as well

You can email me directly at rsftmfw@gmail.com if you want or have any questions

Congrats on your purchase - I should have never sold my 996-3

    Hi PJ,

I live in Seattle and just purchased a low mileage 996 GT3 and having it shipped from Texas. Can you tell me about who built your 996 GT3 exhaust? Was this someone in the Seattle area? How did it perform?

    Thanks, Brian
