Conversation Between lexart and stltri

Hi lexart. Came across your install on a 997TT. None of the install guides provided by Erick described the nuances of the TT trunk. Several questions for you.
1. I had trouble removing the plastic shroud because of a central buckle (looks like a strap connector) in the middle that is attached to chassis somehow. Do I even need to remove this cover since all the important components are near the NAV and CD changer?
2. How did you remove the cover of the NAV or CD changer?
3. I saw that you placed the mic of BT to visor, can we not use the built in mic at the center of steering column?
