    Hey Rob,

    I wouldn't use HIDs as DRLs. It's not even about the heat, although that could be an issue. The big problem I see is that the HIDs draw too much current on start up and that could cause problems with your battery as well as burning up the ballasts.

    Hi ilko, I was researching posts on hid fog lights and your post last year came up. I too have the aftermarket Turbo S ducts, but since I live in Canada the fogs are wired as daytime running lights (allways on). I want to do the HID upgrade to Fogs, but wondering if heat of light (always on) would be a problem (now that you've used them a while, and also where did you buy the HIDs from and how much? Your comments would be very much appreciated. Rob
