It was the latch for me. It's a metal piece underneath the plastic cover. had to be replaced.

Hi there, I came across your post about your window issue - wondering if you ever solved it?

I'm having a similar problem on my 2006 C2. Window drops down about an inch when I go to open the door, but does not go back up when door is closed. I've replaced the microswitch in the door handle, as well as the latch mechanism, but no improvement ( I did try resetting the window 'up' position per the manual).
