Good morning. Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions. Once I took my car in and the felt/insulation was installed, my climate control worked perfectly for the duration of my ownership. I can't remember now if it was the center vent or the one on the far left side that had the problem. I do know, however, you could see the IR sensor below the vent in the 2011 models. I don't know if they changed any locations later in production. I sold the Cayenne in 2013 when I purchased a Model S and have just recently gone back to the Porsche Family. I hope you get your problem resolved.
AJRDU - I recently purchased a 2014 Cayenne and it seems to be having the same problem that you mentioned in a post several years ago about a weak a/c and the seat ventilators automatically shutting off. Mine is doing the exact same thing. I pulled the center to make sure that they had installed the insulation strips to keep cool air from entering behind the temp infrared sensor. Service department has not been helpful thus far. Do you have any suggestions of where i should begin?
