I have a 1985 928S that has a factory alarm system. I have also installed a battery cut off switch in the trunk near the battery location.
The last time I worked on the instrument pod (odometer rebuild) I used the cut off switch to isolate the battery.
When I completed the work I tried turning on the power, which turned on the alarm. I tried various methods using the master key to unlock doors, even climbing into the car then locking all doors and crawling back to turn on the cut off switch, all to no avail. Can not get the alarm to shut down. Does any one have a simple solution.
Also, how can I permanently remove the alarm system, I live on an island and the threat of theft is very remote.
