Hi. Does anybody have experience with aftermarket body kits on Boxster? Specifically, I am curious who makes the widest aftermarket body kit. If you have fitted one, I would be interested in what the largest wheel/tire combination that can be fitted assuming a little bit of fender clearance. Let's say 1/2". I've done the minimum clearance thing before and it always ends in heartache.

Related, does anyone know if the track and the wheelbase are wider/longer on the 987 vs the 986 body style? If so, by how much. Lastly, can I fit these body kits on either a 986 or 987 tub or are they generation specific. Thanks!

Hi. Looking for reco on Boxster S transmission re: putting a late model Carrera S DFI 987 motor in a Boxster. Will this mate to any Boxster S 6 speed transmission regardless of model year? I know there are issues with the location of the 911 oil filter, etc when putting that motor into Boxster but can work around that. Track use only. Will that trans mount up to any Boxster regardless of model year? Thx
