Thank you very much for this informative article, I am thinking about the exact same swap in my 1994 968. One question that I had was whether there is a generic wiring harness included in the box with this radio? I am exactly like you in not wanting to cut any existing wires, but the radio I am replacing (CR-1) is an Alpine unit with completely different connectors on the back. My car does not have a separate amp, and there are connectors for each of the speaker pairs, which should be no problem to connect into, as long as there is a generic harness. If this is not the case, it sounds like I need to purchase the UK supplies to make up a harness myself?
