Hi Dside when I open the hood on a 928 the air cleaner is one of the first things that can be seen as its bright orange,
if its upside down that's also easy to spot.
Now if you don't see a bright orange line going across the rear top of the engine,
then you know that it probably has a non standard filter.
That said if you have a Euro then you have a MAF 2.2 system,
The KnN will foul the hot wire of the MAF and it will pass lots of microfine dirt particles into your engine,
thus killing the compression rings and valve seats.
Whenever a car comes in for service the first thing i do is replace the KnN filter with the factory part
The factory part traps more dirt and flows better and will prolong the life of your MAF and engine.
Goodluck with the Euro its really a first version of the GT
