I just got home and looked at the cables again. I have factory rear view camera too. I’m not sure about the 2 wires on the smaller cable that didn’t have plugs. The orange one says rear c and the only thing I see about that is the instruction sheet says to disconnect an orange optical wire from the 48 pin and I’m not sure about this. The brown wire says “key in” and I don’t see any reference to this anywhere. Im sure most of this Will make sense once I pull everything out but just trying to get clarity. The mini plug shows on the drawing sheet as being plugged into the console plug next to the usb. I can’t figure out why a plug with no connection needs to be plugged in?

I saw that you posted to the Carplay thread but it's not showing up for some reason. I was curious since I haven't installed mine yet. Did you use the 4 wires (2 in each of the cables) that were not plugged) 1 was orange, and I think I know what that is for, but the other (I think it was red)? Sorry, I don't have the kit in front of me and I'm just trying to make sure I know all the connections before I start the install. Also do you need to use the mini plug for anything. I wasn't sure why that is included.

    Thanks,
    Boomer (Dale)

Wireless is possible, we have seen a unit with wireless, currently in our view it's not ready for sale. Hopefully later this year.
