Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I'm thinking about buying the 18" Carrerra IV wheels that came standard on the Carrerra but weren't available as an option on the Carrera S.

    Hey Steven,

I like the old style fuchs wheels a lot. I have 2 sets of fake fuchs by Starke and sold by TireRack.

Summer setup => Starke SC19 - 19" wheels in widebody fitment (since my car is lowered). They're out of the black-silver combo - so you'll have to get the silver one and get it painted, like I did.
Winter setup => Starke SC18 - 18" wheels that are made to fit a 2010 Cayman (since they don't officially sell it for the 997). The offsets weren't too bad and the tire widths are also slightly lesser - better for winter.
I like both the setups, and the ride with the 18" is better than 19" - although that might have something to do with the softer tires as well.
I am considering to make a summer setup also from the SC18 and get rid of the SC19 - still not decided yet - let's wait for Spring

There are other companies that make the 18" fuchs knockoffs as well, but none as cheap as Starke - and I think they all come from the same factory in Taiwan
