I will let you know how it goes.

As for the Ducati Monster I have an S4R and it's the funniest bike ever made! You should look at even av 620 as a first bike it's literally a bicycle and the torque it provides for getting around nothing less than awesome and it will instill a new spirit in you. Hell, your GF/Fiancé/wife will probably enjoy it too. Best of all they are cheap! Get a used one, enjoy and Be carefully. You owe it to yourself to at least try one again it's the funniest bike ever built and I've owned many!

no problem, william. i'll drop it off at the post office today.

TPC SC! wow. i'm jealous! gone are the days i devoted my time and money on the 993 buying a home and marriage has killed my 993 mojo.

i haven't had any slipping (knock on wood) but if you have and plan on bolting up all those extra ponies, and already have the engine dropped, i'd say replace the clutch and any other seals/gaskets (cam chain covers, top valve covers, upper spark plugs, ect. ) depending on how many miles she has. light weight flywheel also comes to mind and is a good modification according to the posts and research i've done.

before i bought the 993 i took a motorcycle safety training corse in anticipation of buying a ducati monster. i too love ducati, but the 993 had to be my first toy. maybe one day.

good luck with everything. let me know how it all goes.

    Antonio,

Just received the PP shipping notification so thanks for getting it in the mail today.

Regarding your comments on the clutch I have to wonder about mine as well. I slipped it 2-3 times mostly in 2nd but once in 3rd but other than that she still seems to keep on keepin on. I'm pulling the engine in about a month to do a TPC SC so while it's down I'll separate the two and see what's really going on and since I'm expecting to bolt on at least 100HP and hopefully 120 if I have any doubts I'll just change it. I'll close the loop with you once I pick it up.

    William

Prior service, DoD civilian now. Italy is great duty. Made a run up Asiago mountains north of Vicenza in my 993 and boy was it fun! You can really drive the cars and motorcycles like here like they were meant to be driven!
