Yep, that’s good advice, I’ll do that

    Thanks Lorenzo

I was giving it some more thought and it looks likely I will go with the local option.

when you weigh up the cost versus the benefits, the big difference is that the Link ecu will be installed by a local tuning shop (with a good reputation) so if anything were to go wrong, I can always take it back. I’m not skilled in this area and this is important to me

    Hi Lorenzo

the injectors are a design II Bosch 4 hole 24lb injectors with adapters to suit s2 cars. Roger Tyson sells the kit. I really had no choice because they don’t make the original injectors any more, the reality is never run the way it should be running under my ownership. It runs rich. So I need to sort that out.

This is an area out of my expertise, I will take it to a professional. Are these easy to tune? Are they programmed in a specific language?

the other option is I’ve had a quote from a local tuning house for a Link ecu https://dealers.linkecu.com/G4X-Mons...-V3 completely installed and tuned for roughly the same money as the VEMS one landed.

the issue I have is if I buy the VEMS unit, I have to pay the import taxes, etc, which make it very expensive so I’m in two minds.

I don’t think my car 0-100 in 6.2. It feels more like 7+. I will put the stopwatch and let you know

    Hi Lorenzo
I'm new to this and my issue is that i had some bad injectors on my 928. They don't make them any more and i had to purchase some non genuine ones from Roger Tyson at 928'sRUS. Unfortunately my car runs rich.
So what im looking for is the car to run as it should.
What i would like is a system that is plug and play and is self tuning. I'll do the basic install first and then experiment as i become more knowledgeable.
It made 300hp from the factory. I would love to see that type of HP again. I would suggest it would struggle to make 200 currently.
Your car was running well and you saw some gains straight out of the box. Did you manage to dyno before and after? If you did, can you share any dyno charts with me?
My only reservation is i don't know anyone who has done this modification and its an expensive bit of kit (landed in Australia with all taxes paid).
I just need someone to tell me that all is good and you won't regret changing the ECU
    Regards
    Nik

    Hi there,

my name is Nik and I’m a fellow 928 owner and considering a purchase of the VEMS system you have installed. It sounds good, would you recommend it? Where are located? I’m in Sydney Australia

    regards

I did clean all ground points, also changed the front ground wire (engine passenger side to body) and the battery ground strap. With no luck.

I am now looking at changing the fuel parameters with my sharktuner (enrichment setting)

    Hi Luc,

I am going to clear the ground points en replacing the big ground cables, because I changed everything en check everything.
Nothing solved this problem, is like the system is to slow to react to a quick change. I will let you know If the grounds points changed anything for me.

    Cheers

    Hi Lorenzo,

I did not solve the issue. I still have the problem.

Since it is not a major problem, I pushed it aside for too long now. I will try to use my sharktuner in the coming weeks to try to solve that issue.

    Cheers

    Luc
