Hey, I have been reading posts about changing out a trans mount on a 993. Looks like you may have build a puller/press tool. Is that something you are willing to rent? I want to change my mount out on a 95 and use the FD Motorsports mount

Apologies if this has been covered already but I am trying to ascertain once and for all whether the 9A1 4.0 liter in the latest GT3 RS is a dry sump motor. I can see from previous posts that this is probably a "self contained dry sump system" but I wanted to ask a couple of questions.

    1) Does this motor share the same block with the latest generation Boxster and 911 motors?
    2) If so, is the bolt pattern on the engine mounting studs the same as the latest generation Boxster and 911? Said another way, will the new 4.0L 9A1 RS motor bolt directly to those gear boxes forgetting output shaft, clutch and flywheel issues (although it would be nice to know if they are going to be a problem)?

I am sure you all can see where I am going with this. Here's another hint: Mid engine Porsches rule!

    Thanks for any insights.

    Cupcar,

I think you may be the only other person on the list besides Bill to be running the cup shocks... I'm putting a set together from scratch, and I'm trying to figure out exactly what path I want to take in regards to perches, top hats, helpers, etc... Would you mind posting your thoughts and experiences in this thread?

I tried to PM you, but it said that your stored messages are full.

    Many thanks,

    Justin

Hi Cupcar- I know that you sold a 964 cup suspension earlier this year. Do you know where it would be possible to source another one? My RS America was recently damaged, and in removing the suspension it was discovered that my car was set up with the Andial cup suspension, but I am at a loss of where to source a new one. Thanks for your help.

    cheers
    Chris

    Hi Cupcar:

If the RS or CUP tie rods are still available, please let me know I will buy either one.
