    Hello!

My name is Abbe Dikmen from Stockholm Sweden. have just read the records of the cracking headlights of the 991. I have a 991 4S Cabrio, with very low milage and only in traffic between April-October. The car is manufactured late 2013 as 2014 model year.
I have been fighting with Porsche Sweden since one month, when I realize the crackings on both headlights. The glass is cracking in the frame. They, are not willing to take this as a goodwill, very poor of a premium brand like Porsche.

Do you have more useful information to share, I can have us of in my battle with Porsche Sweden?
have you got any explanation why this occurs is it a product failure?

Sorry, could not attached any pictures of my headlights, my e-mail is info@trainshop.se, if I get yours I can send pictures directly to your mailbox.

    Thanks in advance, drive carefully
    Abbe D

    Hi Whip -

I could be interested. What would you do them and the rear area mat for? And have you checked to see if they're the same for the 958.2s?

    Thanks,
    Joel

On mine, i had the dealer put them back on for my new purchase. Not sure if they buffed the paint, but my guess is they did not.

Hi Kurt - They are a lot of work to take off. Trick is more than surface heat. The first ones I took off I did with heat gun and then hair drier. The problem was the garage was 68 degrees and the frunk medal cools very quick leaving only the surface of the decal warm. This resulted in a lot of tough pulling (pure misery) and the plastic stretching and breaking constantly. Round two was much better. Parked it in April NC 80 degree sun and the they pull right off.
