Description:
I’ve moved on from my last purchase, so I’m back with another WTB post. This time I’m looking for the right car across a Macan or Cayenne. I know they’re not exactly cars most people cross-shop, but adjusting the garage based on what I get.
Please, review the criteria below before reaching out. I can appreciate that your car might be in pristine condition, but if it doesn’t meet my criteria we’ll both be wasting time. I’m not in a rush and will wait for the right car, but can move on the right car.
- Location: Located in Portland, OR but willing to do anything on the west coast, ideally. Open to further away for the right car.
- Price: Heavily dependent on which car below, 957/958s will likely be 30k while the Macan will be $35k and $40k being the top end for the perfect spec. I feel like this is a reasonable limit based on my criteria below and recent sales at Porsche dealers.
- Years: Varies, but nothing earlier than an ‘09, varies based on models.
- Models (No hybrids please):
- 957, 958.1 & 2: GTS, Turbo, Turbo S
- 95B.2 (2019+): S (Won’t say no to a GTS/ Turbo in the price range
)
- Mileage: Under 80k for the Cayennes and under 55k for the Macan
- Warranty: Any car with a CPO remaining will be my top priority. Likely a must have criteria for the Macan.
- Mods: Prefer no modifications to the car
- Maintenance: Documented history, TC must be done if the car doesn’t have CPO for Cayennes. If it’s a 957.2, would want to get it borescoped as part of PPI.
- Minimum Packages:
- Cayenne: Porsche Entry & Drive (not mandatory for 957) and Factory Roof Rails. Of course I’d be open PDCC etc., but these are the two things we’d need at a minimum.
- Macan: Roof rails, PASM, Porsche Entry & Drive. PTV and ACC would be a nice to have.
- External Color: Almost any color, just not the gold, red.
- Internal Color: No white interior, open to the split with black. No alcantara inserts, unless it’s a 957.
