Description:

Selling my 2004 996 GT3 track car with an RSR body.  I have owned since 2016.
I am selling to partially fund a tasty Cup car for my next chapter (retired from consulting in 2025 and looking to spend more time on bucket list tracks in a bucket list car).

Highlights
NJ car from new, Carfax shows dealer, second registered owner.  Third owner acquired in 2013.  I am fourth.
Widebody build started under second owner and finished under third owner by Protosport.
Some historical photos and background from Rennlist (I was the buyer) here: Rennlist 2004 GT3 RSR Body.
Low mileage car, but all track usage.  Prior owner stated15 events over 10 years – approx. 5,000 miles.
From mid-2016, I added another 5,000 track miles.  I continued to develop the car.
My event history: 2025 – 4, 2024 to 2022 – 0, 2021 – 4, 2020 – 1, 2019 – 2, 2018 – 6, 2017 – 7, 2016 – 3
Maintained professionally by Aspen Autosports, Precision Motorsports Racing and now Heinlein Racing Development. Serviced before and after every event. I will spare you from the usual “car is perfect, wouldn’t change a thing, blah blah blah” but you can see from below that it has benefited from some quality improvements. My summary is as follows:

The Good
Car was flawless in 2025 after having been in hibernation for 3 years (me focusing on family stuff).  Enough spares, fresh rubber, rotors, pads, etc. to run next season. Known history by reputable Jersey shops.

The Bad
2nd gear synchro likely needs attention if you drive tracks where 2nd gear is important.  Yes, the motor has overrevs (see below). As you can see it does have some items for a buyer to be aware of.
I have tried to be as transparent as possible in the details below and also reflected those facts in my asking price.

Car in private storage in Flemington NJ area. Can be viewed with advance notice.
Subject to a meaningful (but refundable) deposit, open to PPIs at your expense.
Final price negotiable.

Title Status
Clear title in hand, with bank letter. Not transferred from 2nd to 3rd owner. Not registered since 2005. Sale will be completed by bill of sale only; I will provide all documents to purchaser for lineage.

Other
No, I wouldn't advise trying to turn it back into a streetcar.

Engine
11,580 miles original engine, no leaks.  Most recent coolant flush April 2025
997 GT3RS crank pulley, RSS engine mounts, coolant lines welded
Oil changed after every event, most recently changed Aug 2025
Fresh plugs (6) 2022, crankcase check valve 2021, new oil sender 2019, throttle potentiometer 2019, replaced DME 2019, coil packs (6) 2018
Last DME pull in 2017. Range 1 – 3610@246hrs, Range 2 – 2178@245hrs. I estimate total current hours @310.
Most recent Blackstone Oil analysis 2021 – no concerns identified.
2025 Compression test @HRD 140/140/145/140/143/140 psi (#1to#6)
