I didn’t think this day would come, but here we are - my 981 Boxster Spyder is for sale. I purchased is as a CPO car from Ray Catena (Edison) Porsche at ~4K miles and used her as my “get outside” toy during COVID. If you are reading this, you probably already know how special this car is on twisty roads. I specifically chose 981 over 718 Spyder to have more compliant suspension for the street driving (GTS vs GT4). I knew I won’t be tracking this car.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to enjoy her anymore.😔
Condition and history:
- Excellent condition; no accidents, no stories, never tracked
- No modifications - bone stock
- Maintained by PMR (Long Valley, NJ)
- Fresh service on October 24, 2025: engine oil and brake fluid
- Always garaged, under indoor cover, and on a trickle charger
- Original tires with plenty of tread (you can choose the next set of “shoes”)
- Both keys and all books/manuals are available

This is a nice car, but my gut is that a lot of people are looking for colors for the Spyder, carbon buckets, pccbs, etc. The price is ok, but for 10-20 more hour into a 718 with buckets. Im looking for a Spyder but in a weird color way (purple, pink, etc). I could be wrong of course but thats just my gut, Ive seen a lot of silver, black and white spyders and they sit. Colors seem to go pretty fast

This car will fit an enthusiast who prefers 981 vs 718 (like I did) and also who has no plans for track usage - buckets and PCCBs offer very little for the street IMO.

Beautiful car with low miles. I would imagine as the weather gets better on the east coast this get picked up quickly. fwiw I have a similar model 981 carrera white with red interior and carbon bucket seats. these cars are special. If you've driven one you know what I mean. With the low production numbers (approx 850 in US in 2016) definitely a classic and good investment IMHO....
