Description:
The 1999 Porsche 911 C2 Cabriolet Manual Triple Black w/LSD is a true driver's car. Black exterior, black full leather interior, black top. Clean title, clean CarFax. Rennlister-owned, in very good condition, this car was driven regularly, has been garage kept, no smoking, no pets. Everything on the car works and is original except for two tasteful mods: mufflers (Fister) and intake resonator. Both are 100% reversible. I have complete maintenance records for the last 8.5 years I’ve owned it. Engine is healthy. Range 2 overrevs = 0. Cam deviations are good. Cylinders 3 and 6 were scoped awhile back and show normal (minimal) signs of bore wear consistent with the age and mileage of the car - bore scoring not an issue. IMSB for my 99 was never a concern since it’s dual-row. Stock non-Bose radio with code and CD-changer. Original red paint spare wheel, tire (still good), toolset and jack intact. The windbreaker/deflector is like-new, and a leather bra this car came with has never been used by me. The entire exterior body was paint corrected a few years ago and ceramic coated including wheels and glass. Includes two sets of original keys plus a valet key, along with the owners manual are present. Porsche OEM license plate brackets front and rear. Titanium lug nuts installed, originals included. Options code sticker inside the frunk hood is a reproduction.
The 1999s are coveted because of the better cylinder material, the cable throttle, the dual-row IMSB, no nannies (TC can be turned off) and other quirks such as no glove box. This car makes you feel like you are in a time machine alongside the air-cooled cars (weighs only 3,074lbs), but it also has modern reliability like a Toyota and air conditioning, airbags, etc..

Current issues:
Cold start has chain rattle and catalytic converter noise, common with the early 99s. Goes away immediately if you just drive off, which Porsche recommends anyway (no idling). Front bumper and front hood have patina and rock chips. The front hood can easily be touched up with the included Porsche OEM touch-up paint. The convertible top driver side tension cable needs adjustment when raising the top. The right rear quarter panel was expertly repaired after a mountain bike fell on it. I have records and pictures before and after. The car has done 3 Porsche DE events.
Reason for selling: My kids no longer fit in back
