Porsche Fuchs Style 19" Wheels for 997 Turbo or Widebody
For SaleWheels and Tires/Axles
Description:
Friends,
Selling these super clean wheels from my 997 turbo. They're staggered of course with the front narrower than the rear in 19" size. As everyone loves a good story, I can share that these were purchased from a fellow community member who had them painted white and installed on his 997 C4S which he converted to a rally-format (raised suspension, lights, decals.) They looked super cool on his car, but the white/chrome looked out of place on mine (see photo), so I had them enabled in flat black. Yes, the painter covered the center caps too - sacrilege, I know. I do really liked the all-flat black look though. I ran these with winters for 2 seasons, which is to say, they might have gone out twice, as I never drove the car in the winter. Given that, I've since decided that my turbo shall sleep through the Pennsylvania winter and therefore these wheels are no longer of use and just taking space in the garage. Also, frankly, getting too lazy to swap summers/winters. Happy for them to find a new owner!
- They're "Fuchs Style", of course not original Fuchs, as I've never heard of a genuine Fuchs wheel in a 19 that would fit a modern 911.
- They're painted economically, that its, they're enameled, not powder coated. I imagine it would be very easy to strip them to repaint however you wish.
- They're well balanced, no cracks.
- They're SUPER clean, having maybe 200 miles on them since I had them painted, and were always garage kept.
- Bare rims; no tires or TPMS.
- I paid $1500 for them in fall of 2023. Priced to sell.
- The I had installed were 235/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear.
Do you know what brand these wheels are (or do you know who makes similar wheels)? I have been on the look out for these but for a narrow body. That is a great price and I am sure these won't last long before somebody purchases them. GLWS!
Upon inspection I noticed a very minor ding in one of the fronts that I hadn't seen before. I attached more photos.
Also I googled a bit and places like Pelican sell brand new Fuchs lookalikes for very (very) high prices but they're gorgeous wheels!
Sorry for not posting this sooner!
19". ET48 front and 9.5" which wore 235/35/19's and ET52 rear 12" which wore 305/30/19's. Worked great. They came off of a local Pittsburgh guy's 996 C4S widebody (I actually found them through the PCA mart) and then went onto my 08 997 turbo.Weight is 24.8 for the front and 27.4 for the rear (unscientific, I just used a scale and subtracted my weight)!
I used standard OEM lugs with these by the way.
The more I look into these, the more I believe they are less of a "knockoff" and more of a rebrand of some kind. I weighed them and they're lighter than a set of forged ones (the cheap ones from Tirerack) and they're definitely made in Germany.
I'm tempted to keep them as a spare set especially since they're so clean now, but, if someone can make immediate use of them, I'd rather they find a new home and stop taking space in my garage!
Jeff
