The 981 Spyder is a 1-Model Year-Only car. 829 for North America, of which approximately 700 remain. Only 89 have PCCB. This car is essentially in perfect condition, both top and underneath. No dings, dents or scratches, or accidents of any kind. All original paint, ceramic coated. Car has spent its life indoors and been driven only in good weather. Except by me, once, which resulted in a new Porsche OEM windshield last September. Porsche will soon be installing a brand new Spyder top (CPO warranty) due to a small (dime size) wear area caused by a small broken interior plastic part.
All services are up to date through 4, 6 and 8-years major services. Last major service in November 2024 at 20,904 miles. Recent oil and filter change in April 2025 at 21,058 miles. Needs nothing at all.
This car is too perfect for me to be comfortable driving, which at my late stage in life I need to do as much as I can. While I have had faster Porsches, there is something about these Spyders that is very intense. I cannot adequately explain this feeling, but you will know within the first few moments. If this is what you want, you will get it. There may be a better Spyder out there, but probably not. It's light and very quick, but you can also have fun at reasonable (maybe) speeds on the right roads. It wants a serious relationship with you; best to not be found wanting. Could be I was.

Someone will really enjoy this!
You should have kept that '61 roadster!!!

I see you're thinking about an A-H 100-4. My first car was a '59 100-6 that had chicken wire for a grille and staples in the top to keep it together. When I now think about where and the distances I drove that car without giving much thought to the likelihood of actually arriving at the destination, it boggles my old mind. I also like the grille on the 100-4 much better.
Probably if I lived in a better climate I'd never consider selling this Spyder.

When I bought my 981 GT4 in 2017, I contemplated the Spyder as well but wasn't sold on the non GT3 front end and narrower rear but as much as I hate to admit it, the Spyder hits my DNA in a better way .

Porsche Nashua (NH) is currently in the process of installing the new soft top under warranty. That should have been completed today, but it seems they forgot to order a "soft top installation kit." Hopefully this will be finished by Wednesday or Thursday.
When the work is finished I will receive the warranty invoice/work order. They have told me that there is no indication of any prior or current fluid leak in the area where there is some discoloration on the right rear control arm. We had a lot of light on the engine area above that spot when we changed the spark plugs and installed the heat shields in December 2024. I feel certain we would have noticed anything amiss.
There has been a delay in having the BAT auction go live (at which point this ad comes down and I have to agree not to complete any sale during the auction) caused by the fact that I do not have actual possession of the car while the dealer is doing the top replacement- that is BAT's position. I am not certain when this auction will start, but I think it must be soon. All the photos, videos, and the ad narrative are complete.
