Wow. A few days ago I posted a 'still available?' note on another FS post (OP: fka 8 ring circus), and later that day I received an email prompting me that there was a reply. I saw that there was some contact information indicated in the Rennlist email, and figured I'd take a look later and then contact the person. A day or two after the email notification, I logged back into Rennlist and that reply was no longer there...

So, I replied to the thread again and asked if the item was still available. Then there was another reply on the board 'confirming' availability and it included a phone number.

I went into my email and compared the numbers (thank goodness for the email 'backup' of the first message), and they are DIFFERENT numbers. I Googled the second phone number, and this very thread came up as the first result. Then I peeled back the onion even more. Like in your situation, the replies to the thread came from usernames that were very similar to, but not the same as, the original thread...

First reply, from 'fka 8 ring circs': "Ok, yes they are still Available. Text me directly 8593392793."

Second reply, from 'fka 8 ring circ': "Yes still available, shoot me a text so we can workout details 860-469-6836"

Yes, that is IDENTICAL to that posted by JDWightt (two 't's) in this thread. I Googled the first number, and found this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1461068

A poster calling himself "The Lion." used that phone number on a thread started by "The Lion" (no period in the OP's username).

I think I might have dodged a bullet here.
