1999 911 C2 manual up for grabs. I recently purchased this car with the intent to sell my 944, but my wife has a 996, so I've decided to part ways with this awesome 996 and am just pricing to recoup my purchase price. Great driving car. I had it at VIR last week for a PCA HPDE and did the one hour green group intro and 996 didn't miss a beat. The good: The original owner had the car for almost 200k miles and took meticulous care. I have all service records noted in the spreadsheet attached. He also took detailed notes in the owner's manual. Exhaust sounds amazing and the car feels very tight. I was keeping up with 991's in the curves at VIR. New motor installed at 77k when the original engine gave out due to overheating. So this motor has motor has approximately 138k miles on it (I have service records). Tires are great. Challenges: 2nd gear doesn't engage well. I am not sure if it is seized cables or the detent or simply the synchro. For what it's worth, the shifter doesn't return to center, so it may be the shift cables needing adjustment. Red paint on the hood and rear boot are a different shade. I leave the country on Thursday for a week, so I'd like to get this deal done before then. Come drive it home or I have a shipper that we can work with to get it to you. Clean title in hand. From my understanding, this car has never had track time besides my one hour session last Saturday. VIN: WP0AA2998XS620513 Shipping available upon request. First deposit makes it a pending sale. Cash App/Venmo/Zelle/Wire all work. I also am a big fan of easy sales and will consider reasonable offers.
Hey, I'm interested in the car. You mentioned paint fade on the hood and rear decklid, but in the photos it looks like the front bumper is different color and the frunk panel gaps looks a little off. Do you think this car has been in an accident? Also, would you be able to share the maintenance log spreadsheet. Thanks so much!
