Description:

1988 Porsche 928 S4, 5 spd manual, 83k miles.  Guards Red/Black.  I'm the 4th owner, PCA member, and the car was previously in IL, KY, GA, AZ.  I've babied this car for 12 years and lavished over $50k in mechanically restoring this car to like new.  Original paint and interior.  Always garaged.  No rips in any leather seating. The Interior is in excellent shape, there is a few small cracks in the dash (typical for a Porsche of this era), the pod was redone by Classic9. No rust.  Exterior paint is original and in very good for a 37 year old car, but there are a few areas that weren't perfect when I bought the car. Small rock chips in the chin/air intake area, small scratch along the passenger side nose, small oxidation/water spots forward of the sunroof.  I have receipts for the car going back to the original owner.  A list of the major work done on the car under my ownership is below, but it may not be complete.  I've tried to stay OEM with only a few modern additions.

Intake refresh, Fuel injectors, All new Greg Brown fuel lines, Fuel tank dropped and cleaned, New fuel pumps, new fuel sender, All new vacuum lines, New steering pump, reservoir, lines, Rebuilt steering rack with new tie rods, New motor mounts, New oil pan gasket, All new brake lines, cross drilled rotors, calipers rebuilt, new brake pads, new anti lock brake sensor, emergency brake serviced, New upper and lower control arms front and rear, all new poly bushings, New shocks, new springs, All new coolant hoses, New expansion tank, water temperature sender, New racing aluminum radiator thermostat, New transmission cooler, steering fluid cooler, Rebuilt AC compressor, new drier, hoses, New HVAC blower
New cruise control actuator and module, Full clutch system replacement including flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, fork, all linkage and shift bushings, New torque tube and bearings, Crankshaft seals, Rear main seal, CV boots, Transaxle seal, New Sekurit windshield (flown in from Germany), New battery, New CE panel with all new fuses/relays, Timing belt/Lasso water pump/belts/tensioner job x 3, Porken tensioner, New engine and hatch gas lifts, Underhood insulation, Recovered Pod (original cracked pod comes with sale), Serviced pod mechanicals, bulbs, Illuminated stick shift ****/leather boot (original comes with sale), Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth, phone, SiriusXM, all new speakers, Hans subwoofer and amp in spare tire location. (Original speakers, unused spare and Blaupunkt cassette/radio comes with sale)
18 inch 5 spoke Panamera wheels with Michelin Pilot 4S tires (original 17 inch gold waffle BBS wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires included in sale).  New silicone rear hatch receiver liner, New window regulators (drivers and passengers side), New sunroof seals and service, New digital clock., Ceramic Pro sealant on exterior (just reapplied), 3M ceramic window tint. New undercarriage (engine) tray.

This 928 is in better condition than any other 928 that I've seen in my 12 years of ownership. It's exceedingly reliable and I've driven from AZ to CA and CO without incident or hesitation.  It runs strong! I'm selling to make room in my garage for an upcoming purchase. This great car needs a new owner to enjoy it!  I'm asking $40k.

I believe manhole wheels were 'original' to the '88, not the gold waffle BBS's. Good luck with the sale. Seems very well sorted and maintained.
