IIRC the 93 tune at that time didn't exist or was early stages and frankly I never had an issue using the boostane. People really blow out of proportion adding that when filling up the gas tank, it takes like 30 seconds. Parts wise we changed up the headgasket and I believe the pistons/lighter rings.

If this is a Cayman "then i'm ... something equally hard to believe is true" . @Rick DeMan has apparently turned the 981GT4 into something closer to how i'd presume a modernized 959 GT car would have felt. After the first couple passes it's really not giving up much time to a baller-built 991 TurboS on fast desolate mountain roads. Most disturbingly its less to do with the expected linear advantage of the 991's 4L big turbo setup (there's only so much room in which that thing gets into triple-digit pretty much instantly) and more with the giant slabs of R compound and various chassis+driveline/motec magic tricks which allow it to dig through this type of terrain carrying more speed and getting into the throttle sooner (without loss of traction). The 6spd gearing is surprisingly similar to the 7spd PDK's first 5 gears and both motors get serious around 3800RPM. While the ESMotor 4L is a lot more rev-happy and does sound the part of a forced induction RS over 6k through a titanium exhaust; the DeMan 4.5 never has to contend with turbo lag or be reigned in by the ECU in order to prevent "bad things" from happening at otherwise manageable inputs (using a Porsche ECU unlike the 12 injector 991) and has a very distinct growl all its own with the exhaust setup @BealeAss configured. This thing's a marvel of a car punching way over its weight class/price range at things like R8s, 458s, and the lesser breeds of McLaren - cars usually considered 911Turbo/GT3RS competition. The fact that it's on stick makes it all that much better even if it costs fractions of seconds apace - pretty sure the only N/A i've driven with 3 pedals and more downright usable thrust is a V12S and the Vantage wasn't quite as quick in tight places or seem nearly as easy to pivot (some restraint applies when man-handling a buddy's Aston) due to its a large front-engine GT layout. This is a furiously fun mid-engine beastie and there's not a pound of boost anywhere to be found - thanks to @Rick DeMan and @BealeAss for engineering, building, and preserving this awesome machine in such a clean state.
