I'm local-ish, have a well-developed taste for things a bit beyond what the factory delivers, and "a few" miles of experience in a variety of mid-engines which needs to be maintained (currently borrowing a late-model R8P for that purpose - kinda feels like cheating though given the driveline, race mode or not).

If you've ever driven one, you'd understand. Some had not even taken delivery of their brand new car yet, and opted to have it delivered to DeMan for the conversion, before they'd even seen it.

 

don't have a 4.5 on my car but i can tell ya over 400 hp on a 2900 lb mid engine car is cool

 

I put 10,000 miles on my 718 Spyder post Deman conversion. These are bad *** cars. Rick is all business when it comes to these cars. There are tunes out there now for 93 and 100 octane as well. Highly recommend the experience of owning one.

As a previous Guards Red 981 DeMan 4.5L owner, this car is almost telepathic in how it improves upon every single aspect that I wished I could improve on from the last car. Uncanny. The only thing I can think of that would lead to an improvement is the numeric shifter, which is an easy retrofit.

As the wise say, buy the seller. In this case, the car is pretty perfect too. GWLS and very jealous of the new owner. Once in a lifetime opportunity to pick something up that's so special.

 

That short gearing with Numeric shifter will be amazing!

 

Mine had the short gearset as well, and I can confirm it was absolutely amazing with the Numeric!

 

Oh I bet that's awesome. The short gearing in general is just so damn good, transforms the car. That plus the v8 feel to the 4.5L and man oh man it's a good car.

2 of the 250ml Pyrex glass bottles in the OEM Porsche leather oil bag (gets ya 2 tanks from 93 to 98) and then some she-wee's for disposable funnel. Bang on best solution I've found in last several years
