Description:

2006 997.1 C4S 94k miles (slightly less but will go up as I still drive it)
Guards red /black Yes, that's right--RED, not silver, not gray, not black. Go looking for 997's and see how many you find in colors!

I am testing the waters here. In 100% disclosure, I bought the car 25 months ago immediately post divorce and have only put about 2-3K miles on it. I have a son turning 16 this summer and need to get a car for him, and just haven't driven it as much as I thought. This is my second 997 4S and they are truly a great sized car with adequate performance. If I keep it, I intend to make some changes to the car via wheels, aero bumper, etc., but I also have a desire to move to the 991 platform next.

This presents an opportunity for someone to purchase the car "as is" and make changes to it as they desire or simply restore it to excellent condition and get a discount as compared to me doing the work in advance.

If I were to truly "prep" the car for sale I would do the following:
- pads and rotors all around (Buyer may desire different than I would pick)
- PO had PPF put on front hood and mirrors that is getting old and should come off. (Buyer may have their own paint correction shop they prefer or enjoy doing paint correction at home)
- Wheels are in OK shape, should be refinished to be perfect. (My plan was to sell them as they are not my taste, but do have very good condition Michelin PS4's that I would use up first, but I would leave this up to the Buyer)
- Suspension is original and PASM functions on the car as it should, that being said at nearly 100K miles many will choose to replace shocks, move to coilovers, etc.
- Paint is OK, definitely in need of a good weekend's worth of work and a PDR session for a ding or two.
- Front clip has the usual stone chips for almost 94k miles
- Rear bumperettes could use a respray (I would delete them)
- Oil/filter changed last summer with Motul 8100 Xcess 5w-40 (maybe 1000 miles after change)
- Front fascia has one indent on lower portion from hitting a curb or something that occurred prior to my ownership, but again I wasn't concerned as an aero bumper was part of my plan. It also has 4 holes drilled by PO for plates (dumb) could be filled an painted or use bumper plugs-- I was going to swap it.

Options:
Nothing major, a pretty standard dealer spec car.
- red belts
- Bose
- Turbo wheels (not ordered from the factory, another owner added them)

Condition notes:
- Car runs and drives very well, no hesitation, excellent pull in all gears. I don't see any large puffs of smoke on startup or acceleration just the usual small puff upon startup common with these cars.
- Engine has not been boroscoped, any interested buyer is welcome to do so. There is a Porsche dealer here in Omaha or several Indies that can perform this.
- All electronics working as they should, two keys included.
- New clutch, clutch slave cylinder, new engine mounts, CV boots, done at 89K miles
- Drive belts and pullies replaced at 86k miles
- No oil leaks of any sort
- Interior is clean, no lousy buttons or switches, overall good condition
- Overall I would call this car a PCA condition 3

This is a nice manual 997 widebody coupe in a color that can be driven and enjoyed while you restore or modify it to your tastes. I'm happy to answer any question I have an answer for and can assist with PPI, etc.
