@3_PDLS to be honest, mediocre. Idle and lower RPM's have a very nice deep growl but as you rise through the mid-high RPM range it's a totally flat unexciting tone with little volume increase and no crescendo. I'm actively looking to replace the mufflers with either PSE units (without vacuum pipes to always have valves open) or FVD Brombacher mufflers. I ran FVD "sound" mufflers on my 981 Boxster S with 3.4L motor and it sounded unbelievable. I recently found a high quality onboard video of the 997.2 brombacher mufflers and it sounds extremely good, similar tone with perhaps slightly more aggression than PSE units and reminds me of my Boxster. Though this car has the sharkwerks cross over rear pipes as opposed to the FVD X pipe im running, which would change the tone slightly: Videos found at this BaT listing (gorgeous spec btw): https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ra-s-coupe-51/
Hope my 2 cents and personal experience helps if you're looking at exhaust options. With all that being said I'll be selling my Fister mufflers sometime soon, though my review isn't the greatest sales ad in the world haha
