Description:
Up for sale is my 2009 C2S 6-speed manual coupe. The car is in excellent condition inside and out and has been well cared for by me, a life-long automotive enthusiast.
Color: Black 041 (non-metallic) exterior, black leather interior
Mileage: 51,300
Transmission: 6 speed manual
Number of owners including myself: 3 (Carfax reports 4 but when you look at the Carfax details, you can see it has just had 3 owners).
Carfax: Clean. No accidents. Original paint.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Car Background: The car arrived from the factory to a Porsche dealer in NYC and was then sent on a dealer-swap to a Porsche dealer in Atlanta where it was sold to its first owner who kept it for 3 years and 8,000 miles. The next owner bought it in Georgia and moved to Asheville NC. That second owner kept it six years and drove it 36,000 miles. The second owner passed away and the car was traded in to a dealer by his widow. I purchased it from that dealer back in 2019 and have put about 7,000 miles on it since then. The car has never driven on salted roads and this is evident from the underside.
Under my ownership, the car has been stored in my garage and driven mostly point A to point A. I would occasionally take it to Caffeine and Octane, Porsche Meetups and group drives, and to watch the Petit Le Mans in the Porsche Corral at Road Atlanta, etc.
DME Report, pulled on 3/3/2024:

Range 4: 0
Range 5: 0
Range 6: 0
Three excellent Blackstone oil analysis available from my ownership.
Repairs and preventative maintenance:
- New OEM High Pressure Fuel Pump 3,000 miles ago
- New front and rear strut bearings 3,000 miles ago
- Brake fluid flush every 2 years
- Coolant flush every 2 years
- Transmission fluid changed 6,000 miles ago with OEM fluid
- Engine oil changed every 12 months or 3,000 miles, whichever came sooner, with Motul 300V full synthetic. Multiple Blackstone Labs oil analysis reports with flawless results.
The car currently sits on BBS E88 wheels that I hade made to order and waited months to receive. Sizes are 19 x 9 et50 front and 19 x 12 et63 rear. These wheels feature true three-piece aluminum construction and do not leak air. Tires are Michelin PS4S 235/35 and 305/30. The wheels and tires have just 2,000 miles on them. The listed sale price for the car includes OEM Carrera S wheels with Sport Cup 2 extreme performance summer tires that have about 1,000 miles on them. BBS wheels negotiable separately. The BBS wheels, tires, and custom center caps cost me $8,200 new and I have all receipts.
Before I provide the small list of bolt-on upgrades and enhancements, know that I have every single original part, nut, and bolt to bring the car back to 100% bone-stock with the exception of the exhaust. All these original parts will be provided as part of the sale. All enhancements are bolt-on in nature only and did not require any permanent alteration of the car. All performance parts except the center exhaust were purchased new by me and I have receipts for everything. The original PASM strut and spring assemblies are in perfect working order and could be re-installed easily if the new owner desired, and doing so would bring the car back up to stock ride height. Exhaust could be returned to stock but you would need to purchase a set of new or used OEM mufflers.
My goal for the car was to have an extremely clean and tasteful "OEM-Plus" setup with as close to OEM 997 GT3 sound, feel, and handling as I could get. I consulted with Arcflashed Motorsports and Tarett Performance to ensure the suspension components I selected were not only of the highest quality, but would not result in odd handling characteristics so common with cars that have been lowered without the appropriate additional components required to achieve proper suspension geometry. For the 997, this means adding OEM GT3 lower control arms to achieve OEM GT3 camber, and adjustable rear toe arms to eliminate rear bump steer which can cause the rear of the 997 to feel extremely unstable and twitchy. These components have worked perfectly together and produced a car that is easy and extremely enjoyable to drive in a spirited manner.

If you have been looking for a 997.2, you know these modifications are absolutely top-tier in quality and performance. But if you prefer to restore the car to stock, sell the parts and pocket the money, it would be easy to take the car back to stock in just one day. All these parts are in high-demand from the 997 community and could be sold very quickly for nearly what they cost new. The cost of these upgrades, not including labor or the BBS wheels, is over $11,000. I am not factoring the value of these upgrades into the price of the car and am instead pricing the car to bone stock comps.
The modifications accomplished exactly what I set out to do with this car. I spent a weekend at Tail of the Dragon and it performed flawlessly, as it has on the very rare occasion I get to take it up to the North Georgia Mountains. The car has no bad habits or unpredictable handling and corners much better than stock.
The ceramic coat is in great condition and the water beads right off with an electric leaf blower after washing.
As you likely already know, the 997.2 is the best generation 911; it is rock-solid reliable, has a fantastic engine without IMS bearing issues, has hydraulic power steering, and is the last 911 before Porsche turned them into big GT cars. The only common issue with this generation is the high pressure fuel pump but the one on this car was just replaced.
Reason for selling is that I never drive it due to traffic and time.
Please, no trades, tire-kickers, or low-ballers.
1. Are the Ohlins coilovers height adjustable?
2. What kind of service records do you have?
3. Do you have a DME report?
4. Are you open to a PPI and do you have a local shop you’d recommend for one?
Thanks!
The buyer of the car receives first right of refusal to include the wheels with sale of the vehicle for additional negotiable price. If the car sells without the BBS wheels, I will be listing them here on on Rennlist separately. I have not decided what I will ask for the BBS wheels and tires yet.
1. Are the Ohlins coilovers height adjustable? Yes. The height, and the dampening can be adjusted.
2. What kind of service records do you have? I have what appears to be full service records from the previous two owners. Under my ownership, it has been driven just 7,000 miles so no routine maintenance has been required. Unplanned maintenance includes the high pressure fuel pump and I have the receipt for that. However, it has had the oil and filter changed multiple times. Coolant and brake fluid flushed. Transmission oil changed with Mobilube PTX (OEM fluid). I have receipts for alignments, and all parts I have purchased.
3. Do you have a DME report? Yes I do. The values are posted above and I am happy to provide the report to serious buyers, which matches the value above.
4. Are you open to a PPI and do you have a local shop you’d recommend for one? 100% willing to take the car to buyer's shop of choice for PPI. I can recommend a couple shops.
At this time, I have accepted a deposit from a serious buyer who is the exact type of buyer I was hoping would purchase this car. I have created an ordered list of backup buyers so DM me if interested in getting on the list. I am not accepting bids for the car: In the event of a backup scenario, I will offer the car at (and not above), my asking price to the next person in line and will go down the list from there if that buyer passes.
Thank you all for the kind words and interest!
