Description:

1980 Rest of World (ROW) 911 SC Targa in original red with dark blue interior and factory Tartan interior.  I acquired this car in 2020 after being stored for 20 years in a garage in Lubbock Texas.  Fuel system:  gas tank restored, new fuel pump, accumulator, filter, and injectors.  Brakes:  calipers rebuilt, rotors turned, lines flushed, new master cylinder, and brake booster rebuilt.  Engine:  complete top end rebuilt including replacement of head studs, valves, guides, new rings, etc.  New clutch and axles installed at time of engine removal.  Interior:  driver's seat bolsters recovered, inserts redone, targa top restored.  Body: the paint appears to be original and there is no damage or repairs that have been done, aside from a small area near the exhaust tip.  The body is very straight and very rust free.  The interior is in excellent condition and everything works as it should.

I would describe this car as a very honest, time capsule example of 911 SC Targa that needs nothing to drive and enjoy.  I have put roughly 1250 miles on the car since all the work was done after the long term storage.

Hello, videos are on Bring A Trailer if you search for 1980 Porsche under completed auctions. Current mileage is 125,000 but unknown if that's actual because the odometer was changed when it was exported. The engine had a complete top end performed 1300 miles ago.
