Description:

Up for sale is my highly optioned, 3.8 swapped, 2012 Porsche Cayman R with a 6-speed manual transmission, Carbon GT2 buckets, and finished in Carrara white. I'm the third owner of the car, which currently shows 68,200 miles and it has a clean California title. I am asking $90,000 Obo.

I have had the car for over 2 years now and have put 7k miles on it. Since I first got the car, the goal was always to transform it into what a 987 “RS” would have been from factory. With over $100,000 invested in parts and labor, the car has been completely transformed while maintaining a period correct factory look and feel, utilizing nothing but the best oem and aftermarket parts available. The entire process has been posted throughout my socials and the build is fully documented in detail on my rennlist journal linked here: https://rennlist.com/forums/987-foru...l#post17805264 (https://rennlist.com/forums/987-foru...l#post17805264)

I will include an excel spreadsheet that highlights everything done to the car as well as maintenance receipts dating back to the first oil change. The car needs nothing but routine maintenance for the next several thousand miles. It also comes with a 1 Year or 10,000 mile engine warranty. Below is a list of the major modifications done to the car:

ENGINE
997.2 Carrera S 3.8 swap (52k miles on engine off of a PDK car). Full leak down and compression test + bore scope prior to install.
Capristo Valved Full Headerback Exhaust
IPD Plenum
GT3 throttle body
EvoMS intake and filter
Cobb Accessport with SP Tune
Aasco Lightwheel flywheel
Sachs Sport Clutch/Pressure Plate
3RD Radiator with duct

SUSPENSION/WHEELS
Ohlins R&T Coilovers
Tarrett drop links
Tarret front and rear sway bars
996 GT3 front control arms
APEX EC-7RS 18x9 +46F, 18x10+36R
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar, 245/40/18F, 275/40/18R

DRIVETRAIN
Rennline F&R Subrame Stabilizer
Rennline Tie downs/ jack plates
Numeric Racing shifter
Numeric Racing cables
Function First orange engine mount
OEM Limited Slip Differential

BRAKES
SS brake lines
GT3 brake ducts
GT3 master cylinder
Ferodo DS2500 pads (Street)
Ferodo DS11.1 pads (Track)
Sebro Slotted rotors

INTERIOR/EXTERIOR
997 GT2 CF Bucket seats
Rennline fire extinguisher/mount
Rennline pedal set
Driver seat tilt bracket
Schroth profi 2x2 Porsche gt3 harnesses
Alcantara sport design wheel
Alcantara headliner
997.2 GT3 Cup Front bumper
997.2 GT3 CUP OEM Splitter
997.2 GT3 RS Wing Assembly
GT3 Cup Carbon Brake Ducts
Brey Krause Substrap mounts/brackets
BBI Rollbar

Overall the car is in excellent shape and was used mostly on long trips. I did do 3 light HPDEs (on the original motor) and it performed flawlessly with a pre and post track inspection every time. Prior to my ownership, the car was never tracked except for a parade lap at COTA (hence the side window sticker). The car just got paint corrected and ceramic coated and the interior has been fully detailed and coated as well. The car has been washed by a professional detailer all its life. The entire front end has PPF with a few small rock chips on the hood and the usual Porsche lower/upper quarter panel rock chips from the mileage. The interior is in excellent condition with the exception of a few scuffs on the A pillar trim, lower sills and center console which aren’t really noticeable. Some of the rubberized coating on the plastic trims is showing age but again, all in areas you wouldn’t see (rear hatch trim for example). The car just got a brand new windshield installed as the original had a crack.

Included with the sale:
Original engine + accessories
New lower rocker ppf film
Ferodo DS11.1 Brake pads with 80% life left
Oem factory painted interior trim
New cabin air filter
Various intake filters
Oem seat mounts
Various size wheel spacers
4 new brake pad wear sensors
Oem master brake cylinder
Carbon fiber mirror covers
Oem amber reflectors
Extended wheel studs + nuts kit
Original fuel pump
And many other Miscellaneous nuts, bolts, accessories

I have put about ~1200 miles on the car after receiving it from the engine swap and it’s been absolutely amazing. This is a drivers car not one built for show. The car is ready for many more miles and to be driven and enjoyed like it was designed and modified to be. If you want to see it in person next weekend, the car will be on display at the Rennsport Reunion and can be found parked in the Cayman Corral #9 on Friday and Saturday

This has been my favorite Cayman build, enjoyed watching the progress on your IG - talk about attention to detail. Someone is going to be very lucky to pick this up.
